Bunting Sponsoring Ewing Magnetics Event 2016
Magnetic Past, Present and Future at 30th Ewing Event
On November 30th 2016, at the Royal Institution of Great Britain in London, the UK Magnetic Society are holding the 30th Ewing Event discussing magnets and magnetics.
The Ewing event brings together the most knowledgeable magnetics experts in the UK and is sponsored by Bunting Magnetics Europe. This year, the talks will focus on a review of the last 30 years and possible future developments. The Ewing lecture will be given by Prof Stephen Blundell, of the Clarendon Laboratory, University of Oxford.
The Ewing Event includes a full day seminar followed by an evening reception, awards ceremony, the Ewing lecture and an informal dinner.
Magnetic technology is unknowingly used by most people in the UK every day. Each time a person picks up a mobile phone, uses a computer or drives a car, magnetic technology is being applied.
The UK has always been a centre of excellence for magnetic and magnet research and development. At the Bunting European manufacturing and design headquarters in Berkhamsted, specialist engineers design and manufacture a range of Magnets and Magnetic Assemblies.
During the design of a magnet or magnetic assembly, Bunting will use a suite of 2D and 3D transient finite element software. These enable the modelling of permanent magnetic devices which can take account of the magnetic properties achieved during post assembly magnetisation.
The Bunting technical design team provide support with the design and optimisation of magnetic products and often undertaken cost-reduction or performance enhancement studies.
