Bunting Europe Joins British Plastics Federation
BPF Important for Bunting’s Continued Growth
Bunting Magnetics Europe Ltd has joined the British Plastics Federation (BPF).
“Supplying Magnetic Separators and Metal Detectors into the Plastics sector is one of the cornerstones of our business and we felt that it was important to join the UK industry’s leading representative body,” explained Dave Hills, our Head of Sales.
Established in 1933, the British Plastics Federation is the most powerful voice in the UK plastic industry with over 500 members across the plastics industry supply chain, including polymer producers and suppliers, additive manufacturers, recyclers, services providers, end users, plastics processors and machinery manufacturers, representing over 80% of the industry by turnover.
“The Bunting Global group of companies has a strong history of developing metal separation solutions for the plastics sector,” said Dave Hills. “In the past 12 months, Bunting Europe has had stands at the international K2016 plastics show in Germany, Plast Eurasia in Turkey, ProPak in South Africa, and at Arabplast in Dubai.”
“This year we are already booked a stand at Interplas (NEC, Birmingham, UK 26-28 September 2017) and will be supporting our local representatives at other regional plastics shows in France and the Netherlands.”
The BPF has strong overseas links and provide support to companies seeking to develop export business.
Bunting has reported on several Magnetic Separator and Metal Detector installations in the plastics industry including:
- Magnetic Separators installed at BPI Polymers to remove ferrous metal from virgin plastics beads;
- Metal Separation Module and Metal Separator Detector installed at Recapture Plastics to remove ferrous and non-ferrous metal from recycled plastic;
Bunting also produced a guide on the best locations for Magnetic Separators and Metal Detectors in a Plastics Production Process.
“We are looking forward to being part of a fantastic organisation that can help us expand our business in the plastics sector,” said Dave Hills.
